Registered office: 24-26 Office 1, Izabella House, Regent Place, City Centre, Birmingham, United Kingdom, B1 3NJ. For this policy we are the data controller for the personal data described below. You can contact us at [email protected].
Under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 we rely on your consent to send you the newsletter, and our legitimate interests to run, measure and improve it. Where the law requires us to keep or share information, we rely on legal obligation. You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe at the bottom of any email.
Open and click tracking runs on your consent. By subscribing, you agree to us recording when you open our emails and which links you click. You can turn this off by blocking images or tracking in your email app, or you can unsubscribe at any time.
We use beehiiv to host this website and send the newsletter. beehiiv processes your data on our behalf as a data processor, under a data processing agreement. That includes beehiiv's Ad Network, which places some ads in the newsletter, and Boosts, beehiiv's paid recommendations feature. If we ever take payments, we'll use Stripe to process them. Some of this processing may happen in the United States. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on the safeguards these providers offer, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. We may also use email and storage providers to run the business, on the same basis.
We keep your subscriber data while you're subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you and delete your data within 30 days. The only thing we keep is a minimal suppression record (your email address) so we don't email you again. If you haven't opened any of our emails in 12 months, we may remove you from the list.
You have the right to access your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, ask for a copy in a portable format, and withdraw consent. To use any of these rights, email [email protected]. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, please tell us first at [email protected] so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. Our Cookie Policy explains which ones and how to control them.
